Tutor Spotlight

David E Stevens III is Bolder Language's first tutor and founder. He specializes in Spanish instruction and English as a second language for Spanish speaking people.

David first became attracted to languages during his first trip abroad, where he traveled throughout Spain and France for ten days to end his senior year at September School in 2001. He had such a great time, even though he could not communicate with the locals, that he dedicated the next several years of his life to learning Spanish. Two years later, after studying for an entire summer in Argentina, Chile, and Ecuador, he had mastered Spanish as his second language.

David recently returned to Boulder after living in St. Petersburg, FL, for the past 3.5 years while he studied at Eckerd College. Graduating a semester early, he received majors in International Business (#1 student '07), Spanish, and Marketing. He was also inducted into Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society (La Sociedad Nacional Honoraria Hispánica), in 2006. He now works full time as a Marketing Associate for Symplified, a start-up software company in downtown Boulder. Because he enjoys learning about new cultures and teaching so much, he started Bolder Languages with a dream of one day making it free for everyone to learn a new language.
